Hairspray is the musically rockin' story of Tracy Turnblad, a girl with some extra pounds, great dance moves and big dreams of being a teen dance idol on the local TV dance program "The Corny Collins Show." When Tracy wins a spot on the show she crosses paths with rival reigning queen of the show , teen heartthrob Link and the bitter truth of segregation.
