Mary Poppins Now Playing at Westchester Broadway TheatrePublished: Tuesday, June 3, 2014 By: Siobhan Brchnel Source: Macaroni Kid Inwood Riverdale
I was invited to the opening night performance of Mary Poppins at Westchester Broadway Theatre. While the theatre has been entertaining for 40 years, this was the first chance I'd had to go.
I took my friend, who was a professional entertainer, and we both agreed: This was a great night. Dinner was delicious and the show was very engaging.
While we are all familiar with Mary Poppins as the classic movie from Disney, this performance had a fresh take on it with some musical scenes and acts different from the movie, though equally entertaining. Some of the choreography had us both downright impressed.
I would definitely recommend Mary Poppins at the Westchester Broadway Theatre for anyone looking for a nice night out with friends or looking for a "date-night" with their significant other.
